What it offers

• NakedSignal offers an analyser-change report that sizes the effect of an analyser, reagent or platform change at a laboratory's clinical decision limits.
• The report counts the patients whose results cross each decision limit after the change, and compares that count with the number repeat testing alone would move.
• The report includes a re-test band: a narrow range around each limit inside which a new result is repeated during the transition.
• The analysis can run on the laboratory's own computer, and only aggregate results leave it.

Evidence

• NakedSignal’s program was tested on 10,579 paired results in 34 method comparisons at 14 stand-in sites, from 12 open-access studies.
• Of the 34 method comparisons, 21 get a full re-test band and 5 an indicative one, because they have fewer pairs than the minimum we set; the other 8 are shown as a comparison only or are too small for a band.
• All five checks NakedSignal fixed before that run passed; the checks are NakedSignal's own, not an outside review.
• NakedSignal publishes a sample report built from a public CD4 analyser comparison of 1,885 paired counts; it is labelled as a sample and no laboratory commissioned it.
• In that sample, 535 results changed category at the decision limits against about 238 expected from repeat testing alone.
• NakedSignal built MedEval-1, a working version of a versioned evaluation standard for medical AI, with a public demo at medeval-1.netlify.app.
• 48 of 48 published MedEval-1 scores were re-derived by NakedSignal’s own audit from the published manifests.
